The maintenance of drainage systems, waste water, black water and rain water, is a daily preoccupation for the managers of residential buildings, tertiary or industrial premises. Cleaning and disinfecting refuse chutes are governed by stringent regulations.

In drainage systems, the accumulation of sediment reduces the outflow pipe diameter. These potential obstructions can cause flooding. Inside the systems, hydrogen sulphide (H2S), a toxic and foul-smelling gas, is formed and causes duct corrosion.
By checking the inside of systems using a video inspection camera, deteriorations, the presence of foreign bodies (tree roots), defects in a joint, abnormal connections and so on can be visualised.

A malfunction in a grease tank or a sewage lift station can have serious repercussions on the environment.

The maintenance and disinfection of refuse chutes are essential for the hygiene of buildings.

Badly maintained installations cause:
  • the diffusion of bad smells
  • the proliferation of insects and the propagation of pathogenic viruses and bacteria
  • noises and vibrations if refuse chutes have been damaged
  • risks of fire in refuse chutes due to the accidental accumulation of waste (obstruction).

TFN Hygiene Division service offers
  • Maintenance contract for cleansing and eliminating scale from pipes caused by waste water, black water and rain water. These services come with a performance guarantee and include visits to unblock pipes, if so required.
  • Emergency call-outs, using high-pressure sewer-cleaning trucks for all pumping out, cleansing or scale elimination operations, in the event of a blockage or flooding.
  • For grease tanks in mass catering environments, pumping out of the greases.
  • For sewage lift stations; pumping out the tanks and an electromechanical check that the pumps are in good working order.
  • Using a video camera technique to inspect drainage systems and all other ducts (ventilation, refuse shafts)
Drafting a technical report:
  • diagram of the installation
  • observations supported by photos
  • location of the anomalies
  • conclusions and actions required
This report is supplied in paper format and/or on CD.

  • In the case of contracts for the maintenance, cleaning and disinfection of refuse chutes, the service can include scraping the shovels used for emptying in the common areas. TFN hygiene can also carry out repair work and/or work to bring refuse chutes back into service, the disinfection and bleaching of refuse storage areas, as well as emergency unblocking.
